Among the students stayed on campus, seven are overseas students who are from Russia, South Korea, Cuba, Uganda and Congo respectively. Leaders of JCI sent their greetings and asked about the study and life of overseas students. The university sent a red envelope to each international student to wish them a memorable Chinese New Year in JCI.

“Happy New Year!” the students expressed their New Year wishes to the university leaders and teachers in fluent Chinese, thanking the school for their care, so that they feel the warmth of home in a foreign country.

"Thank you for letting us students feel the infinite warmth in the early spring," said Robert, a Ugandan graduate student. "Today, I see everyone in the circle of friends posting couplets and eating reunion dinners ...... I also want to share my Chinese New Year. Thank you, teachers and classmates for letting me experience the authentic Chinese 'New Year'!"

Nastasia, a Russian doctoral student, said that she likes Chinese culture very much and has learned a lot about the culture and customs of Spring Festival. She hopes to learn more about Chinese culture in her future study here in China.

Lee Hyun Bin, a graduate student from South Korean, said, "I didn't expect the school to give us red envelopes for celebrating the New Year. This year's Chinese New Year reunion dinner is very special to me and I will always remember it. I would like to thank JCI and the International School for their long-term care and help to us. Here, I sincerely wish the teachers and students of JCI a happy New Year and all the best. I love JCI."
