To further implement the instructionsofSecretary-GeneralXiJinping to put a stop to food waste, to build good atmosphere of "saving food, saying no to waste", the launching ceremony of the theme activities "advocating plate cleaning up, saying no to the waste of food" was held in the No. 1 canteenofXianghu Campus on the morning of September 16th.Yang Yinghui, Director of the Department of Logistics Management,Wang Wensheng,DeputyDirector of Student Affairs Department (Office), Zha Wenfeng,Deputy Director ofthe Department ofLogistics Management attended the launching ceremony.More than 100 student representatives and staff of the first and second canteen of Xianghu Campusattended the ceremony.
At the launching ceremony, Yang Yinghui said,“The current food waste phenomenon is shocking, I hope everyonemaystart from their own, cherish food, eliminate waste.”He called on everyone to thoroughly implement the important instructions of Secretary-GeneralXi Jinping, take concrete measures to stop food waste and cultivate the good habit of saving.
The staff of the Food Control Committee will distribute meal coupons to students who bring their ownmealboxes to eat in the canteen. Three meal coupons can be worth 3 yuan at any window in the canteen, and five coupons can be worth 5 yuan.The students showed great support for this and brought their own lunch boxes to exchange for the coupons.To express their determination to stop food waste, students, teachers and canteen staff signed their names on the signature wall.
This activityisorganized by the Student Affairs Department (Office) and the Department of Logistics Management. It aims to propose to the students to practice the "plate cleaning up action", resist the "waste on the tip of mouth", guide students to cultivate green and healthy eating habits, and create a campus atmosphere that is proud of saving.
