On the morning of June 9, Ren Rong, Director of the Bonn Contemporary, along with his delegation, visited our university. Deputy Party Secretary and Acting President Lyu Pinchang warmly received Mr. Ren and his delegation, and held a symposium in the General Conference Hall of the Xianghu Campus. Relevant heads from the Party (President's) Office, the School of Fine Arts, the International School, and the Museum attended the meeting.


At the symposium, Professor Lyu made a brief introduction of the university. He pointed out that Jingdezhen Ceramic University is the only comprehensive university in the world named after ceramics and has a long history of education, which has produced a large number of artistic talents for the country. In recent years, JCU has strengthened international exchanges and cooperation with many universities and industries abroad. He expressed the hope to establish a cooperative relationship with theBonn Contemporaryand its artists, deepen exchanges, leverage each other's strengths, and promote mutual development.

Mr. Ren remarked that JCU has distinct educational characteristics and a rich artistic atmosphere. He expressed the hope that this visit would serve as an opportunity to strengthen collaboration with Jingdezhen and JCU in areas such as artistic creation and ceramic culture, contributing together to theprosperity and developmentof world culture.


During the visit,Mr. Renand his delegation toured the "Journey of Ceramics" — 2023 Jingdezhen International Ceramic Art Biennale and the International Ceramics Studio at JCU.
