On June 13th, the 2024 graduation ceremony of Jingdezhen Ceramic University was held at the Xianghu Campus. Lyu Pinchang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Acting President and Wu Lei, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, along with members of the University Degree Evaluation Committee, attended the event .

Amidst the solemn strains of the national anthem, the graduation ceremony commenced. Lyu Pinchang delivered a speech titled "Continuing the Spirit of Ceramics, Illuminating a New Journey in Life." On behalf of the university, he congratulated the Class of 2024, including doctoral and master's students, undergraduates, and international students, for successfully completing their studies. He expressed heartfelt gratitude to the parents who have supported them wholeheartedly and the teachers who have educated them with dedication.

Alumni representative and Chairman of Shangyu Investment Holdings Group, Lai Gang, expressed his honor and gratitude for the opportunity to share graduation insights on behalf of the Class of '84 alumni in the field of Mechanical Design, Manufacturing, and Automation. He emphasized the importance for graduates to establish a respectful agreement with their future. Lai Gang offered four pieces of advice: First, swiftly identify career goals that align with personal passions, strengths, and meaningful endeavors, while cherishing loved ones and those around you. Second, uphold pragmatism, professionalism, and long-term vision, as silent nurturing and steady persistence lead to success. Third, strive to become a well-rounded individual rather than merely a tool, continually refining a balanced knowledge base and adopting a healthy lifestyle enriched by art and physical activities. Lastly, develop robust initiative promptly, as action is the key to unlocking solutions, echoing Wang Yangming's belief that actions define life's horizons. In today’s rapidly evolving society with new technologies and industries emerging, continuous learning, adaptation, and bold innovation are crucial for staying competitive and navigating life’s complex journey. Reflecting on her journey from youthful naivety to present-day confidence, she acknowledged the unwavering support and encouragement from school leaders and teachers. As a new generation of JCU, she aims to resonate with the times and contribute to the socialist modernization, embodying the motto of ‘sincerity, simplicity, simpathy, and steadfastness’.

Graduate representative Gao Dongyu, from the 2021 Art and Design program of the School of Design, delivered a heartfelt speech reflecting on his time at the university. He vowed to keep the school motto close to his heart as he ventures out into the world. Carrying the school’s legacy and his teachers’ earnest guidance, he aims to integrate his personal aspirations with the nation’s cause. Gao emphasized the importance of pursuing ideals through entrepreneurship, letting youth shine through innovation and creativity, and boldly leading as a pioneer and contributor of his time. He aspires to be a shining example of the “JCU spirit” in his future endeavors.

At 11:00 AM, the degree conferral ceremony was held at the Jianyi Student Activity Center at the Xianghu Campus. This year, the university awarded over 6,800 degrees, including doctoral, master's, and bachelor's degrees.
